What should you do to a spillage before we arive?
The first thing not to do is panic. Simply absorb up as much of the liquid as possible but DO NOT scrub as this can damage carpet fibres! It is not advisable to use supermarket stain removers as many of these contain bleach, and if incorrectly used can not only permanently lighten your carpet but also ‘set’ the stain making it virtually impossible for a professional to remove. If you regularly use these stain removers then you may notice the areas you have spot cleaned re-soil at a much faster rate? This is due to the sticky foam residue not having been removed from the carpet completely. Dust and dirt can stick to your carpet like glue when this occurs!
If you contact us straight away then there is an excellent chance we can remove your spillage fully, but remember what your actions are can sometimes be of great importance in whether we have removal success or not. If in doubt do not touch and call us for advice.
